SORGHUM (Wild Game Food) Sorghum bicolor
Wild game food sorghum is an early maturing, variety
that reaches mid-bloom stage 43-50 days after planting. Mature
plants are 26 to 30 inches in height. Seed are palatable at maturity
and are readily consumed by upland game birds, quail, turkey, pheasants,
prairie chickens and migratory birds such as duck, geese and dove.
Deer also feed on this plant.
PLANTING RATES:
10 lbs. / acre in 30" rows.
30 lbs. / acre broadcast.
Plant in spring after danger of frost is past throughout
summer months.
Plant seeds 1/2 to 1 inch deep.
